Game Thread: No Steph. No Zion. No Dray. No B.I. — a lot of players out for tonight’s matchup between Pelicans and Warriors

Who else is excited by the prospect of Didi, Kira, Jax and the rest of the young guys play big minutes?

NBA: New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies Petre Thomas-USA TODAY Sports

According to Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr in pregame, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins will all sit out tonight’s matchup between the Pelicans and Warriors.

As for those missing in action from the Pels side of things, Stan Van Gundy said that Brandon Ingram and Steven Adams are out, joining Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball, Wesley Iwundu and Josh Hart on the sidelines.

In addition, the New Orleans head coach said that he doesn’t expect to see any players from the above group outside of possibly Wes in the regular season finale against the Lakers.

In other words, we’re about to watch Didi Louzada and the rest of the young core play the vast majority of the minutes in the last two games of the season. Sounds good to me.

For more on tonight’s matchup, please give our preview a read.
