Game Thread: Missing three usual starters again, Pelicans’ role players must rise up to challenge against Grizzlies

New Orleans looking to sweep the season series from Memphis!

NBA: New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

For a third straight game, the New Orleans Pelicans will be without three starters: Zion Williamson (left hand fracture), Brandon Ingram (left ankle sprain) and Steven Adams (right first MTP sprain).

Josh Hart will also miss his 22nd straight contest.

The Memphis Grizzlies will be without Grayson Allen (abdominal soreness) and Sean McDermott (left foot soreness).

Jaren Jackson Jr. is in Memphis’ starting lineup and expected to appear in both games coming on consecutive days for the first time this season. He had previously missed the front end of the last three back-to-backs since returning from a torn meniscus suffered in the Orlando bubble.
