Lonzo Ball will not play

NBA: New Orleans Pelicans at Boston Celtics Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

Brandon Ingram and Kira Lewis Jr. are expected to return to action tonight when the New Orleans Pelicans tip off against the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. local time.

Lonzo Ball is out with left hip flexor soreness, and it isn’t clear whether this latest injury is related to the seven games Zo recently missed due to a right hip flexor strain.

“I don’t think they saw any structural damage, so that’s good,” Stan Van Gundy said to pregame media. “How much one injury is related to the other is something probably Nellie could talk to you more about, but I’m sure it has an effect. You know, you carry yourself a little different. I know it’s frustrating for Lonzo to be back for such a short period of time and be sidelined again.”
