The Pelicans will tip-off against the Nets in a few minutes time and New Orleans will be without Brandon Ingram for a fourth consecutive game due to a right first MTP irritation. Stan Van Gundy still labels B.I. day-to-day but is hopeful that his star forward returns soon.

“I’m hopeful every game that that day will be the day.” Van Gundy said in pregame. “So now I’m really hopeful Friday will be the day. I know Brandon really wants to be out there. I know it kills him to sit there and watch especially when other guys are down. He knows he could help and the guy just really loves to play the game. I know it’s killing him as much as its — actually, more probably than — its killing us to having you sit there. Hopefully, it will be soon. We definitely need him back.”

In addition to Ingram, Kira Lewis Jr., Josh Hart and Nickeil Alexander-Walker are all out of action tonight in Brooklyn.
