Game Thread: Steven Adams available, will attempt to corral Nikola Jokic in Pelicans-Nuggets matchup

New, comments

James Johnson will also be in uniform for the first time in four games

NBA: Denver Nuggets at New Orleans Pelicans Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

After being listed as questionable on the injury report with a right first MTP sprain, Steven Adams is a go and in the starting lineup for the New Orleans Pelicans matchup against the Denver Nuggets.

That’s welcome news considering the opposing center tonight is Nikola Jokic, the favorite to win the 2021 Most Valuable Player Award.

In addition to the announcement of Adams being available, James Johnson will also suit up. However, Stan Van Gundy state to pregame media that the reserve forward’s minutes will be limited so the trick will be to use him wisely.
