Game Thread: 10 key players out for Pelicans-Hawks matchup including Zion, Lonzo and Trae

There will be some serious star power watching the action from the sidelines during the Pelicans-Hawks matchup tonight.

A combined 10 players from the New Orleans and Atlanta rosters are out due to various injuries.

  • Zion Williamson (right thumb sprain)
  • Lonzo Ball (right hip flexor strain)
  • Brandon Ingram (right first MTP irritation)
  • Josh Hart (right thumb sprain)
  • Trae Young (left knee soreness)
  • John Collins (left ankle sprain)
  • De’Andre Hunder (right knee soreness)
  • Cam Reddish (right Achilles soreness)
  • Danillo Galinari (left Achilles soreness)
  • Kris Dunn (right ankle surgery)

In other news, the New Orleans Pelicans are expected to sign point guard Isaiah Thomas to a 10-day contract. According to Bobby Marks, the Pelicans are obligated to sign a player by Saturday to satisfy the league’s 14-man roster requirement.
