Game Thread: Pelicans are trending up, will face short-handed Celtics squad

With Lonzo Ball out, can Nickeil Alexander-Walker step up in the starting point guard’s absence once more?

The New Orleans Pelicans will be without Lonzo Ball for a fifth straight game, but Jaxson Hayes is a go for tonight’s matchup in Boston against the Celtics.

The Celtics will not have the services of three regulars in their rotation: Jaylen Brown, Semi Ojeleye and Tristan Thompson.

However, Evan Fournier will play, and according to Brad Stevens, he will receive significant minutes, so expect the new shooting guard to give New Orleans trouble on the perimeter along with Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum.

Can Zion Williamson lead the Pelicans once more if the game goes down to clutch minutes, with Brandon Ingram, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and others giving good support?
