The Pelicans are tipping off against the Cavaliers at the top of the hour — and there’s little doubt New Orleans needs to muster every ounce of pride inside their bodies in order to make amends for last night’s 30-point loss to the Timberwolves, but before we concern ourselves with basketball, I want to direct your attention to a wonderful video.

The Pelicans production crew assembled a condensed look back at the coronavirus pandemic that shut down the NBA, which occurred exactly one year ago.

That was really well done, no? Think back to your feelings and emotions from a year ago. I clearly remember my own personal anxiety and confusion at the outset of a changed world, trying to figure out which boxes needed to be checked on behalf of all those close to me.

As for tonight’s game, Kevin Love and Larry Nance Jr. are expected to return from the injury list, but Darius Garland, Cleveland’s starting point guard, is out.

For more on tonight’s matchup, please give David’s preview a read.
