With the NBA releasing the second half of the 2020-21 schedule earlier today, the New Orleans Pelicans are now aware of their fate for the rest of this season.

The most problematic areas of the remaining 42 games appear to be a torturous stretch from March 14 through March 29 (Clippers, Trail Blazers x 2, Nuggets x 2, Lakers, Mavericks, Celtics) and then the final six games of the season, of which five will take place away from the Smoothie King Center. New Orleans has compiled a 5-10 record on the road to date.
Immediately facing the Pelicans, though, are the Detroit Pistons, who will be without Jeremi Grant, their leading scorer, tonight.

It’s a break for sure, and according to Stan Van Gundy in pregame, the Pelicans can probably expect to have the services of Steven Adams. The New Orleans starting center had missed the last contests due to a sprained right ankle.
