The climb to the top of the mountain just got a little harder.
Brandon Ingram is out for tonight’s game against the New York Knicks. He woke up this morning with soreness in his right hip area after sustaining the injury in the fourth quarter of last night’s loss to the Sacramento Kings.
Updated Pelicans Injury Report vs. New York (10/30/21)— Daniel Sallerson (@dsallerson) October 30, 2021
Josh Hart – Right Quadriceps Tendinosis
Daulton Hommes – Right Fibular Stress Fracture
Brandon Ingram – Right Hip Contusion
Garrett Temple – Left Ankle Sprain
Zion Williamson – Right Foot Fracture
With the two best New Orleans Pelicans players unavailable, who will Willie Green turn to against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference?
Undoubtedly, it’s not going to be one individual. If the Pelicans are to pull off the impossible and beat the Knicks, it’s going to take a great team effort. Not only Jonas Valanciunas and Devonte’ Graham need to pick up the slack but Nickeil Alexander-Walker and the rest of the roster.
Replacing over 50 points from last season’s starting lineup is a monumental task.
Hey, miracles do happen sometimes.
