Apparently, the NBA is going to follow through with playing their full slate of games tonight despite the various incidents witnessed earlier in the day where a number of rioters stormed Capitol Hill and select other state capital buildings around the nation.
There was a report of a pipe bomb being found at the Republican National Committee headquarters, but it was successfully detonated by a bomb squad.
A few minutes ago, Stan Van Gundy spoke on the day’s disturbing events to pregame media, like numerous other head coaches around the league.
Stan Van Gundy watched today's events on the TV in his office: "You just wonder if this is an isolated incident or the beginning of a real demise of our country. I don’t think we should take our democracy for granted. I don’t think we should try to brush this off very easily." pic.twitter.com/TsNrK9KXwJ

A woman who was shot inside the Capitol building after it was overrun by a mob of Trump supporters has died. Let’s pray there isn’t any more bloodshed.
