Per Jonathan Givony of ESPN, Lonzo Ball is expected to sign on with Roc Nation Sports, a sports management agency founded by famous songwriter and music producer Jay-Z.

LaMelo, Lonzo and LiAngelo Ball are planning to sign representation agreements with Jay-Z’s Sports Management company, Roc Nation Sports, according to Jermaine Jackson, LaMelo Ball’s manager.

“This was a family decision,” Jackson told ESPN. “This is now an extended family. They put together a beautiful game plan with Jay-Z. The basketball game is about to change. They are going to create something totally new.”

Lonzo Ball had signed on with Creative Arts Agency (CAA) approximately one year ago, but that relationship was short-lived as he reportedly parted ways with them last month.

Lonzo Ball was in the midst of his best professional season while in his inaugural year with the New Orleans Pelicans. He was averaging 12.4 points, 7.0 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals, but all the rage was the improvement in his three-point shooting. After reworking the mechanics of his stroke with assistant coach Fred Vinson, Ball was enjoying a career-high in three-point percentage (38.3%) and makes (2.5 3PTM).

Roc Nation Sports has an impressive clientele list which includes Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Caris LeVert and Markelle Fultz. In addition, two-way Pelicans player Zylan Cheatham is also represented by the same firm, with Drew Gross serving as his agent.
