Back before he made his debut on January 22 against the Spurs, many were led to believe that Zion Williamson would probably not appear in both games of the remaining back-to-backs on New Orleans’ schedule. Fortunately for Pelicans’ playoff hopes, we have confirmation that that’s not going to be the case.
Alvin Gentry said Zion will start out playing his normal minutes and team will go from there.

The Pelicans have failed to beat the Mavericks in three matchups thus far so Zion Williamson being a normal go from the start infinitely increases their odds of winning.
Zion appeared in 33 minutes last night so it’ll be interesting to see just how much run he does receive tonight. I’m sure the Pelicans’ training staff would love to keep him to the bare minimum, say three bursts and then relaxation throughout the fourth quarter of a blowout victory! {Insert prayer emoji}

Let’s geaux, Pels!
