The New Orleans Pelicans are taking a break from appearing in six straight Western Conference matchups on the schedule by flying up to Cleveland and facing the Cavaliers tonight.
As Travis mentioned in his preview, these guys aren’t good despite enjoying their starting lineup logging the most minutes (621) of any other group in the league. Conversely, the Pelicans preferred starting lineup has spent a paltry 31 minutes of action together; however, that hasn’t stopped them from looking like world-beaters — so good to have you aboard, Zion Williamson!
New Orleans starting lineup of Lonzo Ball-Jrue Holiday-Brandon Ingram-Zion Williamson-Derrick Favors has posted a 112.1 ORTG, 95.4 DRTG & +16.7 NETRTG in 31 minutes.

Among 5-man lineups w/ 100+ minutes, this Pelicans group would rank 6th in NETRTG across NBA.
That's damn good.
Darius Miller and Kenrich Williams are the only two names listed on the latest injury report so this projected 50-win team (!!!) should dispose of the Cavaliers easily, right? While they’ve handled their business well of late, beating six of the last seven sub .500 teams on the schedule, it’s difficult to have complete trust in a team that’s suffered so many disappointing losses down the stretch this season just quite yet.
But, of course, geaux Pels!
