Having moved past The Debut, the hope is that nerves have settled and adjustments were made by the coaching staff; thus, the New Orleans Pelicans should look much sharper with Zion Williamson in the lineup against the Denver Nuggets tonight.
“It felt great,” said Zion during this mornings shootaround about putting his debut in the rearview mirror. “It went by super fast I mean because I’d be in the game and then the next second I’d be subbed out. But it was a great experience and I love the fans for showing that much support.”
The biggest question on everyone’s mind, of course, will Zion’s leash be extended versus Nikola Jokic and gang? Unfortunately, it sounds like the answer is no.
Per Alvin Gentry, Zion Williamson will stick to approximately the same playing time schedule. Of course it could vary some depending on how he looks in his minutes. (Is he more or less winded at any point?)
