The New Orleans Pelicans will tip-off in the next hour against currently the hottest team in the NBA, the Utah Jazz, but they won’t be nearly as shorthanded as they’ve been in recent contests.
Brandon Ingram and Derrick Favors are both expected to return from small injury absences, Ingram from right knee soreness, and Favors, a right hamstring strain. JJ Redick, who was questionable with a left hamstring strain, is out and will join Jrue Holiday, Zion Williamson, Kenrich Williams, Jahlil Okafor, and Darius Miller on the bench.
The Jazz will be without Mike Conley Jr., who hasn’t appeared in a game since mid-December due to a hamstring injury, but the Jazz haven’t missed the 2019 NBA Teammate of the Year — yeah, that’s a thing!
If you read Preston’s preview, you’ll know the Jazz have rattled off 10 straight wins and 15 of their last 16. They’ve been on fire — Jordan Clarkson, who came over in a trade for Dante Exum on December 23rd, hasn’t lost since he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers. High time someone changes that, huh?
Let’s geaux, Pels!!
