Game 39: New Orleans Pelicans look to take care of business against New York Knicks without Jrue Holiday

New, comments

Can the Pels get off to a good start on their 3-game road trip?

NBA: Preseason-New Orleans Pelicans at New York Knicks Andy Marlin-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Pelicans will be a little short-handed for tonight’s contest against the New York Knicks, missing Zion Williamson, Darius Miller, Kenrich Williams and Jrue Holiday, but they should have enough firepower if the outcomes of their recent contests are any indication.

Honestly, it makes all the sense in the world to give Holiday one more day of rest considering the Knicks matchup comes on the front end of a team back-to-back. His services will be more required against the Boston Celtics tomorrow.

The Knicks will be without Julius Randle and Dennis Smith Jr., and there’s a good chance Marcus Morris will also miss the night’s contest.

For those in need of their daily Zion fix, check out this dunk in pregame warmups from less than an hour ago.

For more on tonight’s game, please give Zach’s preview a read. Also, be sure to peruse Mike’s article on the Pelicans recent improvement in their rebounding stats and the rumor that New Orleans may look to add a veteran before the upcoming trade deadline.

Geaux Pels!
