As you probably know by now, Jrue Holiday is out for the next 7-10 days. As is E’Twaun Moore. With Anthony Davis restricted to his typical 20-25 minute role, who is going to step up alongside Julius Randle against the formidable Toronto Raptors?
In the game’s preview, I already mentioned tonight presents Elfrid Payton a great chance to shine. However, there’s a great opportunity for another. As Alvin Gentry just mentioned minutes ago, Frank Jackson is replacing Holiday in the starting lineup.
Ferrari Frank has started seven games this season, averaging 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 25 minutes of action, but he mixed in only one bright showing during that stretch — a 25-point performance against the Spurs.
For what it’s worth, Jackson is sizzling thus far in March, knocking down 55.2% of his shot attempts and 72.7% of his three-point bombs. Can he steal away some that spotlight?
Geaux Pels!
