Game 64: Anthony Davis to play against Suns, will sit tomorrow versus Nuggets

Phoenix has the worst record in the league. Can the Pels get back in the win column?

NBA: Phoenix Suns at New Orleans Pelicans Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

With the Pelicans playing the next two nights, Alvin Gentry has elected to play Athony Davis tonight against the Phoenix Suns and will sit him tomorrow versus the Denver Nuggets.

Curious about his impact in games since that infamous trade request?

Well, in games Anthony Davis has seen nearly 20 minutes or more, New Orleans has posted a 1-5 record. Obviously not playing a full allotment of minutes is probably responsible for changing an outcome or two, but it is interesting to note that the Pelicans are a perfect 2-0 over this stretch when AD hasn’t met this criteria (see wins over Thunder and Lakers).
