Game 55: Julius Randle expected to return as New Orleans Pelicans face off with Chicago Bulls

One of the absent five of the core returns.

NBA: New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Pelicans, losers of three straight, get a break in the schedule as they’ll face the Bulls in Chicago tonight. The Pels previous game against a team with a losing record came back on January 23, when they fell to the Detroit Pistons at home by a score of 98-94.

Earlier in the day, Alvin Gentry announced that both Julius Randle and Anthony Davis are available to play, but New Orleans is going to continue to hold Davis out under at least after the trade deadline passes tomorrow.

Interestingly, with Randle back in the fold, Gentry has decided to bring him off the bench. Kenrich Williams should, therefore, remain in the starting lineup and trot out a fivesome of Jrue Holiday, Frank Jackson, Darius Miller, Williams and Jahlil Okafor.
