As wild of a week as it’s been, isn’t it nice for New Orleans fans to focus on something other than that heartbreaking NFC Championship loss just two weeks ago?
With that being said......
Can the February 7th trade deadline just get here already?!
Fans have been spoiled by the efforts of Jrue Holiday and his group of misfits, and the Pelicans’ hope to overcome the odds again tonight in San Antonio. The fifth-seeded Spurs have won two of three games this season against the Pelicans and 27 of the past 39 games in their series, overall.
Jahlil Okafor words of wisdom after shootaround: "It’s really easy to forget why we’re playing the game of basketball and that’s because we fell in love with it...Obviously it’s a business and there is a lot going on right now, but at the end of the day, we’re playing basketball"

#Pelicans rookie Kenrich Williams on team's mindset under current circumstances: "We know the odds are against us. We’re down almost our whole starting five. We just want to come out, play hard, play together and have fun." Williams had 16 reb at Hou, 21 pts vs. Den this week

Dante Cunningham is a game-time decison due to an ankle injury. Before you scoff, remember that he scored 15 and 19 points against the Pelicans in two November contests against the Spurs this season, collecting seven rebounds in each contest.
The Pelicans will be without five of their six leading scorers, and Pelicans’ fans may very well not see Davis, Mirotic or Randle in a Pelicans’ uniform again.
As for E’Twaun Moore, the “rest” designation continues to confound. Could Moore be on the move as well?
