While few believe the New Orleans Pelicans have much of a chance against a hot Oklahoma City Thunder team tonight, the odds of Anthony Davis posting a bounce-back performance are higher. A few days ago against the Orlando Magic, AD managed to make just one field goal out of nine attempts in 24 minutes.
Three total points for one of the best players in the game!?
With the game on primetime (7 p.m. and on TNT) and AD likely eager to make amends for one of the worst lines of his career right before the All-Star break, expect Davis to show plenty more inspiration. Also, keep in my mind that there’s a small chance this could be his last game this season as I’ve heard some rumors circulating around today. If so and he’s aware of this, we might witness some fireworks between he and Paul George. If not, we should at least take solace in the fact that there’s just no way AD and the Pelicans are going to show similar effort to the 30-point loss to the Magic, right?
