Game 26: Derrick Favors expected to appear in limited minutes against Philadelphia 76ers

According to Alvin Gentry in pregame media, the New Orleans Pelicans should welcome back their starting center after a 13-game absence. Derrick Favors should play tonight and could even draw the start. However, the expectation is his playing time will be limited, falling in the range of about 15 minutes or so.

It’ll be good to see Favors take the court again as the Pelicans have sorely missed the veteran’s ability and experience. The Pelicans defense and rebounding have really struggled against most opponents, often losing the battle in the paint in needing to rely on Jaxson Hayes and Jahlil Okafor.

For the Sixers, Al Horford is out, but they still have Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris and others.
