Can Brandon Ingram will the Pels to a surprising win?

Tonight’s nationally televised matchup on ESPN between the New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks will be without two key players: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Derrick Favors.

Antetokounmpo is nursing a sore right quad tendon while Favors wants to improve his conditioning before returning to game action.

Advantage New Orleans?

Not according to ESPN’s FPI which is currently giving the Bucks a 93% chance of winning the game.

Realize that the Bucks are on a 15-game winning streak and have productive players not named Giannis on their roster. Conversely, the Pelicans are on a nine-game slide and seemingly find a new way to lose every time out.

Could Brandon Ingram or Jrue Holiday explode and carry New Orleans to a much-needed victory? Sure, it’s possible, but the odds look stacked against a team whose offense is now doing as poorly as the defense according to the NBA’s offensive/defensive ratings since their last win.

Geaux Pels!
