Game 43: E’Twaun Moore’s return marks first time New Orleans Pelicans at full strength since practically start of season

New, comments

Say hello to the full squadron!

NBA: New Orleans Pelicans at Dallas Mavericks Andrew Dieb-USA TODAY Sports

After missing the two previous games, the New Orleans Pelicans will welcome E’Twaun Moore back to the lineup, but the bigger news is that the team is now at full strength for the first time since the fourth game of the schedule.

It’s been a heck of a bumpy ride to this point, but finally there’s no reason for excuses. The Pelicans have performed incredibly well since Elfrid Payton’s return and the addition of Nikola Mirotic in the previous contest and Moore tonight should only bolster an already formidable lineup. In case you missed it, have a look at how the combination of Payton, Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday has affected New Orleans offense.

When Elfrid Payton sees 20+ minutes 127.1 52.4% 43.3% 28.0 13.3 8.9 19.2 62.4
In all other games 114.5 47.1% 34.1% 26.7 15.2 7.2 13.1 56.5

For the Minnesota Timberwolves, they will be without Derrick Rose due to an ankle sprain.

The Wolves had won three straight games before falling to the Dallas Mavericks last night — yes they’ll be on the second night of a back-to-back while New Orleans has been off for two days.
