NBA: Portland Trail Blazers at New Orleans Pelicans Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Pelicans (48-34) have earned the sixth seed in the 2018 Western Conference playoff race and will play the third-seeded Portland Trail Blazers (49-33) in the first round.

Game one of this seven-game series is scheduled for this coming Saturday at 9:30 PM Central inside the Moda Center and will air on ESPN. For additional dates, times and broadcast channels please refer to the chart below.

New Orleans fans will get a chance to watch the Pelicans in person starting next week, with Game three falling on Thursday at 8:00 PM Central and Game four on the following Saturday at 4:00 PM Central.

According to one oddsmaker, BetDSI Sportsbook, the Pelicans have the worst odds (+25000) from among the other 15 playoff teams to reach the 2017-18 NBA Finals. This makes some sense considering the Washington Post gives New Orleans less than a 1% chance to win the title. FiveThirtyEight, on the other hand, gives the Pels a 2% to walk away with the Larry O’Brien Trophy!

Hehe, if you want to throw a few dollars in New Orleans way, go right ahead, but considering the rather long odds, you probably don’t want to bet the house.
