NBA: New Orleans Pelicans at Sacramento Kings Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

In their 16 years of existence, double-digit winning streaks have been a rarity for the New Orleans Pelicans. Thus, this current stretch featuring 10 wins in a row deserves recognition and we give it plenty of due by singling out our favorite moments of the win streak.

Next, we turn our attention to DeMarcus Cousins. Despite the fact that Boogie hasn’t played in over a month, he remains a divisive topic. Namely, many have taken sides on whether the team is better with or without him. Listen for our takes, but if you’re familiar with our stances on social media, you likely already know our answers.

Moving onto a less controversial subject, we break down this latest stretch by the Pelicans and specifically how they’re piling up the victories. Head Coach Alvin Gentry’s system suddenly fits like a glove. While he certainly deserves a lot of credit, we also lay out other factors that have positively influenced the great play of the Pelicans. Along the way we accolade a slew of Pelicans for their recent contributions, including Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, Nikola Mirotic and Emeka Okafor.

Lastly, we discuss Friday night’s upcoming contest against the Washington Wizards. In addition to our predictions, Jake Whitacre of Bullets Forever joins Preston to preview the matchup in great depth.
