Anthony Davis on Hall of Fame pace as he celebrates his 25th birthday

His resume is already incredible

NBA: Phoenix Suns at New Orleans Pelicans Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

Anthony Davis turns 25 today. His resume at this age is remarkable through 393 career games. So far the big man is averaging 23.2 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game while hanging on to a ridiculous 27.0 PER in 13,646 minutes. There are only two players in NBA history with a higher career PER; Michael Jordan (27.91) and LeBron James (27.64). Not bad company. Davis ranks 22nd in league history in PPG (just behind Shaquille O'Neal) and 15th in blocks per game.

Remember when Davis was compared to Marcus Camby coming out of college? We do.

We'll have coverage coming out today and in the coming week celebrating AD's birthday but for starters I wanted to take a look at the accomplishments section of AD's basketball resume. Through 25 years he's already well on his way to the Hall of Fame. Please note that the basketball Hall of Fame isn't the "NBA Hall of Fame" like in football so accomplishments in college and internationally also count.

Anthony Davis Accomplishments:

  • 1st Team AP All-American - April 2012 (Age 19)
  • NCAA Champion and Tournament Most Outstanding Player - April 2012 (Age 19)
  • NBA First Overall Pick - June 2012 (Age 19)
  • 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist - August 2012 (Age 19)
  • 1st Team All-Rookie - May 2013 (Age 20)
  • NBA All-Star - February 2014 (Age 20)
  • 2014 FIBA World Cup Champion - September 2014 (Age 21)
  • NBA All-Star Starter - February 2015 (Age 21)
  • 2nd Team All Defense - May 2015 (Age 22)
  • 1st Team All-NBA - May 2015 (Age 22)
  • NBA All-Star - February 2016 (Age 22)
  • NBA All-Star Starter - February 2017 (Age 23)
  • NBA All-Star Game MVP - February 2017 (Age 23)
  • 2nd Team All Defense - May 2017 (Age 24)
  • 1st Team All-NBA - May 2017 (Age 24)
  • NBA All-Star Starter - February 2018 (Age 24)
  • February 2018 Western Conference Player of the Month - February 2018 (Age 24)
  • New Orleans Pelicans franchise leader in points (9,125), rebounds (4,044), and blocks (925). Second in franchise history in steals (522). Third in games (393) and minutes (13,646) played.

That is not bad at all. Davis is well on his way to adding another 1st team All-NBA and his first 1st team All-Defense onto that resume when this season ends. Can he tack on an MVP or hopefully a playoff series victory as well? Stay tuned!
