Game 14: Nikola Mirotic set to return, Elfrid Payton remains sidelined for Pelicans matchup against Timberwolves

Pelicans are on a three-game winning streak and more help is on the way!

Good news, everyone. The New Orleans Pelicans rotation is slated to get Nikola Mirotic back tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but unfortunately, Elfrid Payton has been ruled out despite there existing hope earlier this afternoon.

With Mirotic returning, it’ll be interesting to see if Alvin Gentry decides to risk throwing a wrench into a well-oiled machine. Should Mirotic immediately rejoin the starting lineup or does it make more sense to give Julius Randle at least another start? Niko has proven his worth, but New Orleans is playing their best ball since the first few few games of the season. Should the coaching staff take a chance on disrupting the current continuity?
