Although the whole basketball world will probably be tuned to ESPN tonight as a Jimmy Butler is expected to break his silence in an interview, the New Orleans Pelicans (0-3) are in Miami and will tip-off against the Heat (1-3) at 6:30 p.m. Central. Viewers living within a 75-mile radius of the Smoothie King Center should be able to watch the game on the Pelicans app or by visiting Pelicans.com and clicking on the appropriate link. Those outside of the viewing area can catch the game on NBA League Pass or tune into WRNO 99.5 FM.
Following yesterday’s practice, Alvin Gentry stated that Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday and E’Twaun Moore would all be unavailable against the Heat as the Pelicans are focused on Thursday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors. Also joining the trio on the sidelines will be Jahlil Okafor and Alexis Ajinca.
Although Julius Randle is probable to play, New Orleans game notes list him as one of the five starters for tonight’s contest. He is slated to be joined by Elfrid Payton, Ian Clark, Solomon Hill and Nikola Mirotic.
