It’s been exactly one year to the day since Karen Loftus started her new position as a sports reporter for WGNO/ABC 26 here in New Orleans. Although she’s responsible for covering a variety of athletics, Pelicans basketball is one of her favorite assignments and she joined Preston and I to talk about the most pertinent topics currently surrounding the team.

DeMarcus Cousins can stuff a stat sheet like few can and is on pace to make the 2018 NBA All-Star team as a starter (!), but does he make the team better at the end of the day? Additionally, we discuss at length whether his personality is a positive or negative for the locker room.

Following an epic 25-assist performance, Rajon Rondo was thrust into the limelight as the centerpiece of the offense, but of late, things have turned somewhat sour. We give our takes on whether his decline in minutes is an effort-related issue and whether it bodes a problem for down the road.

Everyone has given their two cents on Head Coach Alvin Gentry so listen to our grades -- the answers may surprise you!

Lastly, we couldn’t let Karen go before squeezing out an NFL playoff prediction from her about the much anticipated battle between the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. Can Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram rise to the occasion?
