Surprise, the New Orleans Pelicans have suffered another injury setback.
Tony Allen will require more time on the shelf after he re-aggravated his left fibula fracture. According to Jen Hale of Fox Sports New Orleans, Allen will miss another two to four weeks.

With yesterday’s announcement of the Pelicans planning to sign the recently waived DeAndre Liggins to a 10-day contract, I had feared it possibly meant more bad news for Allen...
Sigh.
The Pelicans offense has hummed along nicely for much of the season, but the defense has largely been a disaster. New Orleans had hoped to lean on Allen quite a bit while Solomon Hill continues to recover from a torn hamstring; however, we’re reminded yet again that things rarely go according to plan.
Welp, I guess it’s time to see what Liggins has to offer because the defense sorely needs another above average defender besides Jrue Holiday on the perimeter. Expect for Liggins to start seeing some minutes right away, and if fares well, there’s a decent chance he could earn a 2nd 10-day contract with the Pelicans.
