According to his twitter account, Martell Webster looks to be calling it quits on his professional basketball playing career.

Although his time in New Orleans was short-lived, it’s a classy move by the veteran to thank the Pelicans organization for giving him an opportunity.

Earlier this month, Webster had signed a non-guaranteed training camp, but many considered him a long shot to make any roster in the league. His last appearance in an NBA regular season game came in a Washington Wizards uniform during the 2014-15 campaign.

Webster’s career spanned a total of ten seasons with three different teams. He was often plagued by various injuries throughout, and back and hip issues knocked him out of the league over two years ago.

Martell Webster might best be remembered for pouring in 24 points in a single quarter while a member of the Portland Trail Blazers — where his career first began.

Good luck to Martell in all his future endeavors!
