DeMarcus Cousins takes aim at his reputation in new Foot Locker commercial

Who says Boogie can’t laugh at himself?

NBA: Chicago Bulls at New Orleans Pelicans Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

DeMarcus Cousins and Ndamukong Suh embody the bad boy image perhaps more than anyone else in their respected sports. That’s why today’s newly released commercial by Foot Locker, where the duo couldn’t be any less observant and thus chivalrous, makes for such a fun watch.

Notice how Boogie steps over a lady who had just dropped her groceries, accidentally trips a guy on crutches and then is too preoccupied in his conversation with Suh to hold the elevator for a senior citizen.

This article was originally intended to also include a recent conversation I had with Cousins, but sadly the recording is inaudible. However, not all is lost as the biggest takeaways from the interview have already been published elsewhere, say Boogie’s desire to become a general manager in the league once his playing career is over and his unwavering support and confidence in his new teammate, Rajon Rondo.

I can confirm, though, that Boogie wasn’t willing to divulge the secret he supposed has in store for us in the 2017-18 season per Anthony Davis. He chuckled and told me to give AD a call if I really sought an answer — oh yeah, like I’ve got HIS number on speed dial! :)
