The release of NBA 2K18 may still be more than a month away (September 19 and preorders four days earlier), but we already have a good idea about some of the updates in the popular video game regarding the New Orleans Pelicans.
Thanks to Steve Noah of Operation Sports, we have our first looks at several players and some changes in the uniforms. The differences in the Pelicans attire can be noticed in the tweet below, featuring a side-by-side picture of 2K18 (on the left) and 2K17 (on the right). Observe the larger font and the lettering runs more horizontal across the chest.
Next, we have our first looks at both Rajon Rondo and DeMarcus Cousins.

Font bigger? Looks good. Boogie with the LeBron-esque hairline/headband combo? pic.twitter.com/DFBleHdNup— The Bird Writes (@thebirdwrites) August 8, 2017
I’ll admit, I prefer Rondo’s image over Cousins’ and it’s not entirely because Rajon looks cool as a cucumber while Boogie seems a bit enraged. Honestly, I prefer the likeness to Rondo in real life simply a little more as David is right — Cousins gives off too much of a LeBron James vibe.
Unfortunately, we’re still patiently awaiting a picture or two of Anthony Davis as well as accompanying player ratings. Stay tuned!
