Watch newly svelte DeMarcus Cousins play for Team World in 2017 Africa game

The global event tips off Saturday morning at 10am/ct on ESPN2.

For the first time since undergoing a much-publicized body transformation, DeMarcus Cousins is going to appear in a televised basketball game against his peers.

As part of the 15th edition of Basketball without Borders Africa, the NBA is hosting the 2017 Africa Game today and it can be viewed live at 10:00 AM Central Time on ESPN2.

The competition will feature Team Africa, 12 players born on the continent or those of second generation (although Joel Embiid isn’t scheduled to play), playing against Team World, 11 players from around the rest of the globe. Alongside Cousins, Dirk Nowitzki, Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle Lowry will face Victor Oladipo, Dennis Schroder and Serge Ibaka. To view the full rosters, please visit NBA.com for more details.

Two years ago, Team World emerged victorious by a 101-97 margin in the game’s inaugural event that featured Chris Paul, Bradley Beal and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the leading scorer. Most of the participants spent roughly 20 minutes on the court each so expect Cousins to earn a similar amount of run.

Will Boogie choose to show off his shooting or playmaking skills, or will he take a back seat to maybe either Kemba Walker or C.J. McCollum?

Tune in to find out because we’ve got basketball in August!
