2016 Summer League: New Orleans Pelicans vs D-League Select

It's the fifth and final time to see Buddy Hield, Cheick Diallo and the rest of the summer gang in Las Vegas.

After falling to the Miami Heat on Wednesday, the New Orleans Pelicans are out of the 2016 Summer League tournament, but they do have a remaining consolation game left to play today against the D-League Select team. The game will air on NBAtv at 3:30 pm central time.

There may not be much left to play for a team with a 1-4 record, but it's fair to expect that many of the individual Pelicans will take the contest seriously. Both Buddy Hield and Cheick Diallo will be looking to finish this exhibition season on a positive note, especially the recent ESPY winner because he mentioned his disappointment with his results this past week.

Although Nick Minnerath just confirmed he'll soon be headed to Russia, the rest of the roster will still be auditioning their talents to prospective scouts. Can Larry Drew II or Alex Olah make one final good impression?

The D-League Select team, a group comprised of top NBDL prospects, has been led by Jaron Johnson, Jabril Trawick and Brandon Fields; however, 10 players on their roster have averaged ten or more minutes a game. They have a record of 2-2, but were manhandled by a Sixers squad without Ben Simmons (rest).
