On Monday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will play in their final game prior to the start of the Summer League playoffs. They will face the Sacramento Kings at 9 pm central time, and the game will be televised on ESPN2. Both teams are still seeking their first Summer League win.
Buddy Hield's raw stats look fine (17 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 threes a game), but he will certainly look to improve on a disappointing 30 FG% and a 27.3 3FG%.
On the other hand, Cheick Diallo has been a revelation and the numbers support the eye test: 11.5 points, 9 rebounds and 3.5 blocks a game. He has made 10 of 17 field goal attempts and is a perfect 3 of 3 from the free throw line.
The Kings have been led by Malachi Richardson who is averaging 13.5 points, 5 rebounds and 2 threes a game. Willie Cauley-Stein is averaging 9 points and 5.5 rebounds a game, but is another player really struggling with efficiency (23.8 FG% and 53.3 FT%). The same goes for Skal Labissiere (29.4 FG%).
