The NBA Draft Lottery will take place Tuesday night prior to game one of the Eastern Conference Finals. The event, taking place in New York, will be televised on ESPN at 7 PM and will also be available on WatchESPN (or the ESPN app) for those out of pocket.
The New Orleans Pelicans enter the lottery in the sixth position with 63 ping pong ball combinations out of 1,001 possible combinations. The lottery itself selects only the top three picks. The remaining picks are according to their pre-lottery order. A deeper explanation on the lottery can be found here. New Orleans cannot pick 4th or 5th. They can pick as high as 1st overall (6.3% chance) or as low as 9th (0.1% chance). The greatest probability is that they stand pat in sixth (43.9% chance) or slide back one slot to seventh (30.4% chance).
Full lottery odds for every pick, thanks to Tankathon, can be found below.
Head coach Alvin Gentry will represent the team on television for the drawing. General Manager Dell Demps will be in the drawing room where the ping pong balls are actually selected.

Find whatever brings you good luck and clutch it close. Another superstar might be on their way to New Orleans beside Anthony Davis with the bounce of a ping pong ball. Geaux Pelicans!
