The New Orleans Pelicans announced this afternoon Jrue Holiday and Alonzo Gee are done for the season thanks to injuries suffered last night against the New York Knicks. Holiday suffered a right inferior orbital wall fracture in the fourth quarter after running into an errant elbow by Kristaps Porzingis. Alonzo Gee has a complete rupture of the right proximal rectus femoris. Interestingly, the update says Gee suffered the injury in the second quarter yet he played the first four minutes of the third quarter before checking out for the night.
That's not all. Ryan Anderson has been diagnosed with a sports Hernia and will seek a second opinion. Norris Cole continues to battle lower back soreness and is day-to-day. The injury list is officially longer than the healthy players list.

Currently the Pelicans have two hardship exceptions which have brought Tim Frazier and Jordan Hamilton onto the roster temporarily. Two additional exceptions are possible to give the Pelicans a reasonable compliment of bodies (if not exactly NBA talent) to finish out the remaining nine games of the season.
