A positive news injury update for the oft-embattled New Orleans Pelicans star?

While nearly all of his New Orleans Pelicans teammates are halfway around the world in China, Tyreke Evans is busy rehabilitating in New York City, and according to his Instagram account, his mobility is trending in a positive direction.

In the clip below, Evans is cutting, juking and generally showing an ability to handle a good amount of pressure on his surgically-repaired right knee.

Tyreke’s jumpshot is exhibiting significantly more lift, and his bodily movements are more fluid and bountiful than observed in late July. In several videos posted from that time period, it was readily apparent that Evans was able to put little to no force on his right knee. Go ahead and compare his mobility from then to now for yourselves.

Dell Demps opined on media day that Evans could realistically be able to return to the court sometime during the month of December. With this most recent evidence, it appears Evans has a chance of meeting that recovery timetable.
