New Orleans Pelicans hold voluntary workouts at team facility

The New Orleans Pelicans will open training camp in less than three weeks. That camp, held at the Greenbrier in West Virginia, will begin on September 29th. Between now and then a number of Pelicans are already in the New Orleans area, getting down to business. Thankfully the Pelicans.com staff released a number of pictures from today's voluntary workouts held at the team's Metairie location on Airline Drive.

There is one huge piece of news to come out of all these photographs. Luke Babbitt, reserve small forward, has cut his beautiful locks. I do not know how to appropriately cope with this loss. Will his legendary pump fake no longer be quite so effective? How can he shoot without his bangs hanging in his eyes?

Babbitt led the Pelicans last season making 51.3% of his 3-point attempts. If it were me, the idea of trimming my hair would be akin to Sampson walking into a barber shop on purpose. We must now ask if Babbitt has his own Delilah running loose. Who is her next target? Will AD's unibrow be the next victim?

Beyond that news, a number of Pelicans are shown participating in various acts of basketball. Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon, Quincy Pondexter, Alexis Ainjca, Dante Cunningham, Alonzo Gee, and Bryce Dejean-Jones also appear in the photos released today. Assuming that everyone who was present was photographed (which may not be the case) that means Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans, Omer Asik, Kendrick Perkins, and Jeff Adrian did not take part.
