Anthony Davis prefers Olympic gold to an NBA MVP Award

Anthony Davis recently sat down with Chris Palmer and answered several Olympic-related questions on behalf of SLAM magazine.

After a momentary pause, Davis claims he'd prefer to win an Olympic gold medal in Rio rather than next season's MVP Award. The only reason is because this opportunity comes around only once every four years.

As for the chances of winning the trifecta of gold, first team All-NBA and MVP? "It's a tough thing to do. Just got to work hard, keep working and it starts with this summer."

If not basketball, Davis said he would like to try the long jump event because of his length, height and athleticism.

AD's favorite Olympic sport to watch is tennis. He tried it one time and claimed it's a lot tougher than it looks. His favorite professional player is Serena Williams.
