2015 NBA Summer League: New Orleans Pelicans vs Golden State Warriors Open Thread

New, comments

Here we go.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Seth Curry has been lighting Las Vegas up, leading the summer league in points per game with 25.3. Next up, the Golden State Warriors and 2015 NBA D-League Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) Aaron Craft. Craft has built an entire reputation on defense. If you followed college basketball from 2010 to 2014 the cherub faced defender could oftentimes be found creating havoc for opponent of his Ohio State Buckeyes. In addition to his selection at the D-League DPOY he was also selected as the Big Ten DPOY in 2012 and 2014. Craft will be the most capable defender Curry has seen all summer long.

This will be the second game that assistant coach Robert Pack is the head coach. During the first three non-tournament games associate head coach Darren Erman was the head coach, passing the reigns off to Pack as the tournament got underway. The New Orleans Pelicans have won the first quarter in every game the summer, racing out to big leads while opponents still attempt to get their feet under them.

Tonight's game tips off at 9:00 PM local time on NBATV or slightly later depending on when the Chicago Bulls and Phoenix Suns finish up. Afterwards Seth Curry is expected to be on The Starters post game show.
