New Orleans Pelicans top five stories this week

While Quincy Pondexter was recently seen relaxing at an NBA playoff game, The Bird Writes has been busy staying on top of all the off-season stories.

1. With Monty Williams coaching career coming to a close in New Orleans, both nikkoewan and Kevin took their last in-depth looks at the former sideline leader of the Pelicans.

2. Two more player reviews were published this past week: Omer Asik (David) and Tyreke Evans (Jamile)

3. Looking forward to next season, The Bird Writes examined whether the Pelicans should be in the market for a starting shooting forward.

4. Regarding the Pelicans head coaching search, Alvin Gentry was analyzed throughly after meeting with Dell Demps and Mickey Loomis earlier in the week. Meanwhile, it appears that Scott Brooks and John Calipari have removed their names from the running and Mark Jackson has not been contacted by the New Orleans organization.

5. ESPN analysts gave their two cents worth as to whether the Bulls or the Pelicans is the more enviable head coaching position.
