In the 2nd game game of a back-to-back and without Tyreke Evans, the Pelicans started the game much like anyone would have expected. They found themselves down 25-11 at the 2:47 mark of the 1st quarter. What happened after that, though, was beyond even the wildest of happy imaginations:
- A 100-66 run to finish the game
- 12-21 from three point range
- 31 assists vs. 10 turnovers
About the only thing that went wrong after the first quarter was watching Anthony Davis walk to the locker room in the 2nd half. Fortunately, it didn't turn out to be anything of the severe variety:
The @PelicansNBA Anthony Davis in locker room for evaluation after sustaining blow to face from Deron Williams. Don't think it's serious

The Pelicans went 5-2 over the last 10 days and they've improved to 9-3 since the All-Star break. Well done and thank you players, Monty Williams and Dell Demps.
Stay tuned for David's full recap coming up shortly.
