After being carried off the court last night Anthony Davis will return to action against the Utah Jazz. New Orleans Pelicans trainers determined that there was no structural damage and Davis returned to the bench against the Los Angeles Clippers but did not check back into the game itself.
In an interesting development Jrue Holiday will play on the second night of a back-to-back for the first time this season. Holiday logged a short night against the Clippers with the margin out of hand playing just 13 minutes. Oleh noted last week that an increase in minutes was on the horizon for Holiday some time this week or next.
Of course with the Pelicans it is not all good news. Tyreke Evans and Norris Cole remain out of the lineup tonight. Evans had been hoping to return as early as Wednesday before Thanksgiving but the team is proceeding cautiously. However, during his media availability head coach Alvin Gentry did say that both Evans and Cole could be back in uniform Tuesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
