The Pelicans spent Thursday just like any red-blooded American, stuffing their bellies with copious amounts of food. Alvin Gentry was kind enough to invite not only all of the players and coaches, but various other people including people from the media.

At the time of this writing, the status of Tyreke Evans remains questionable. As I stated in yesterday's game preview, I would wager Jrue Holiday faces Chris Paul tonight while Evans is held back until tomorrow as Holiday sits out the second game of a back-to-back.
Although the Pelicans are a 6.5-point underdog, many like their chances to cover the spread as the Clippers have not been playing well of late. However, fetching the win may prove too difficult a task. Los Angles has beaten New Orleans five straight times at Staples, and we should expect they will likely put forth a fantastic effort to make amends for their recent woeful stretch.
