It appears an initial time frame of returning around Thanksgiving will come to fruition for Tyreke Evans and the New Orleans Pelicans. According to Brett Dawson, Evans stated this morning that he expects to return in one week's time.
After a strenuous workout yesterday, Tyreke was happy to report he suffered no swelling in his troublesome right knee. However, he was quick to report that his usual strength isn't there yet and he needs to face some live competition to test the knee for lateral movement.
If Evans does indeed return a week from today, he will rejoin the Pelicans during an upcoming Western Conference road trip. On November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving, the team will be in Los Angeles to face the Clippers.
The following night, New Orleans will play the Utah Jazz. More than likely, we probably shouldn't expect for Evans to be used right off the bat in a back-to-backs. Perhaps Jrue Holiday will appear in one of these games and Tyreke in the other?
