New Orleans Pelicans at Oklahoma City Thunder GameThread

New, comments

Prepare for pain.

Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Pelicans limp into a SEGABABA against a rested Oklahoma City Thunder team on the road. Tyreke Evans, Norris Cole, Quincy Pondexter, Kendrick Perkins, and Jrue Holiday are all out. Anthony Davis might not play after leaving last night's game early in the first quarter with a shoulder injury. Ish Smith and Toney Douglas are going to guard Russell Westbrook. Prepare for pain.

In two games against the Pelicans with Holiday available Westbrook averaged 25 points, 7.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.5 turnovers while posting a horrendous 34/10/85 slash line. After Holiday succumbed to a stress reaction Westbrook turned into maniac averaging 46.5 points, 8.5 assists, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.5 turnovers with an incredible 55.9/45.5/91.7 slash line.

Kevin Durant is still out for the Thunder so look for Westbrook and Enes Kanter to have a field day against the putrid Pelicans, especially if Omer Asik is unavailable to patrol the paint.
